Sharing economy is nothing new – housing cooperative have existed as a housing solution, especially in the cities for a long time. New digital contributions that are all a part of the new sharing economy are hitting the Norwegian markets hard. This is services where values are created by consumers’ renting, sharing and borrowing products and services of each other – instead of owning. Mutual for all the offerings, being the taxi app “Uber” or the residential landlord Airbnb, is that they attack and challenge an established industry by the use of technology and digital services. This session will undertake the issue “sharing in urban settings”.
